Really looks nice but doesn't really taste like cold brew, no instructions on how much coffee grounds to water.... cannot find paper filter replacements so have to cut my own....Arrived broken. No English instructions, only Chinese.EDITS AND UPDATES:Increased from one star to three stars. Company did contact and send replacement parts as well as English instructions. The dispersal of the drip with just the coffee filter disk is still not uniform. We’ve tried filter bags, no filter, etc and kept getting a very week brew. Today we literally put a whole coffee filter in above the grounds. This seems to be helping immensely. Additionally, we are using a new roast to assist with a darker, bolder brew. Will update. This piece is striking. People are very much impressed with how it looks, we just need a better water dispersal methodology through the grounds.Took me a bit to figure out the filter went on the bottom and the metal grate on top of the grounds. Only had assembly instructions. Nothing about best practices. Also recommend premoistening the groundsThe grounds holder could be taller and more narrow. The outside edge did not get wet unless I periodically angled the drip to the edge. Making the holder more narrow would fix this. The drip valve needs to be replaced with a higher quality. The temperature and fill of the water reservoir affected the drip rate. The rubber gasket leaks. Maybe mine was bad. Not a deal breaker since it all drips into the same spot anyways.Despite these issues it still made a great cup of cold drip coffee (according to the wife). So it took a minute to figure it out. But this is the coolest piece for my coffee bar. It makes delicious cold brew. We even used it to brew Kava. Love it!!!Overall it's good for cold brew. One thing that seems defective is the wall of the opening of the hopper. (Shown in the pictures)Doesn't affect the function but I just don't like such defective news.I am ordering one more to make enough cold brewed coffee for my family,, and sending this back to get a replacement. This was a birthday gift for my son, he absolutely loves it. He had had this coffee at a resort on a vacation and asked for this maker for his birthday. It's the smoothest coffee he's ever had. The maker works great, I guess the downside is that there's so many parts. To clean that is. But it's worth it for the outcome.Used it about 10 times now. Only downside is that the drip nozzle is finicky. You have to keep an eye on it to see if its still set to the desired drip speed. In one case I left it over night and it dripped too fast and over flowed. Otherwise it makes great cold brew and I haven't had issues since. The glass is very fragile, I have already broken the lid. Must be careful not to overflow the center container as it does not drip very fast. I use it to infuse rye and bourbon with flavors such as dried cherries, cinnamon and vanilla.
