The shoe comes with two cardboard inserts. The first one fits loosely in the heel area and is easily removable.The second insert lines the entire front of the shoe and curves down under the insole. At first, I thought that the shoe was too narrow until I spotted the insert. I then couldn't remove it from the shoe. You must remove the insole to remove the cardboard insert. This works because the insole is not glued in.Now, the shoe fits OK. I'll know soon whether in gradually conforms to my foot, like all the other Gold Cup shoes I've worn.
