On said Carbon Fiber series 5" Monster Tach the cover is too long. When installing it, you have to be careful adjusting it in the ring, which does not say Carbon Fiber on it as shown in ads. Adjusting the position in the rubber in the mount - if you pull on the back of the gauge to come forward it will cave in and scare the crap out of you. That happened twice to me so I have to just barely tighten the mounting ring bolts to be able to move it. The face of this tach is great. You'd think for this particular stand-alone gauge Autometer could be imaginative enough to make the housing and tach light all in carbon fiber in the first place. It's a nice after-thought but could be a major wow factor at a show. But…..only game in town and with the after-thought, Autometer can squeeze a few more bucks on a "tachy" add-on.
